The Black Forest Inn welcomed its first guest here in Hamilton back in 1967. Our reputation for the finest Bavarian cuisine has enticed guests from near and far to enjoy our traditional dishes. Just as it has for years, today’s menu delights the taste buds and satisfies the heartiest appetites – including our famous, signature Schnitzel selected from six European countries.

Reminiscent of their homeland, original founders Fred and Rosa Obbereiter came from Austria in the 1950s and aspired to share part of their culture with those in their new home of Hamilton, Ontario. To this day, guests are treated to recipes their son, chef Wolfgang and his wife Gabi introduced so many years ago and have been so famously enjoyed for decades.
