Q What do I bring to camp?

If you are in our evening camps, all that is required is a full set of hockey gear. Neck guards are required but mouth guards are optional.

For our day camps, a full set of hockey gear is required for the ice sessions, clothes for dryland (shorts or sweats and running shoes), a lunch (the canteen will be open for purchase), and an old stick for stickhandling during dryland. The stick will not be needed until midweek).

A water bottle. You can bring water to all areas of the camp (ice session, classroom, dryland)

Q Why is registration held at Source For Sports the day before camp starts?

We like to have registration completed before camp starts. Source For Sports also offers skate sharpening and equipment for purchase if needed before the camp. This way you will not need to make an extra trip.

As well, we give out jerseys at this time. If you would like to have a name and number on the back of your child’s jersey it can be done at the store at a cost of $5.

Q How can I pay during registration?

We accept cash, cheque, or money order at registration. You can pay using an e-transfer if you pay in full before camp starts.

Q Do I still need to come to registration if I paid in full?

No. We can provide all your necessary items at the rink just before your child goes on the ice. You would not have the benefit of having your child’s name and number on the jersey for the first skate.

Q If I am from out of town, do I still need to come the night before?

If I am from out of town, do I still need to come the night before?

Q Will I get a receipt?

Yes. A full receipt will be given to you at registration.

Q How will I know that a camp has room?

Please check our web page. Spots left in each camp are updated weekly. We limit the number of participants in each camp to keep our low student/instructor ratio. This is one area we pride ourselves with; we feel it is important to ensure our participants are getting full value for the camp.

Q Can I put my child in an older age group? I feel my child will be pushed harder if they were in an older group.

For the most part, no. We attempt to keep participants in their own age group. It is at the discretion of the camp organizers if a participant should be moved.

For our junior/pro camps, we will accept midget aged players if they played AAA midget the year before.
